Before choosing a smart switch or plug
Check the exact model’s electrical ratings, wiring needs and installation instructions. A product name alone cannot confirm whether a device is suitable for a particular appliance or circuit. Ask a qualified electrician to assess any installation involving mains wiring.
Check app and voice-assistant compatibility
Look at the product specifications for Tuya or Smart Life support, network requirements and Alexa or Google Home compatibility. These features vary by model. Use the manufacturer’s instructions for the device you receive rather than assuming another model’s setup steps will apply.
When setup does not go as expected
Tell us the product model, the app you are using, the step you reached and any error message. A clear description helps us understand whether your question concerns pairing, app controls or device compatibility. Never share your app password or Wi-Fi password.
